Lebanese resturant (Moussa)
About This Spot
Stepping into Moussa on Westheimer, you’re greeted by a vibrant blend of authentic Lebanese warmth and a bustling energy that feels both inviting and genuine. This isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a local crossroads where the rich traditions of the Mediterranean meet the everyday rhythm of Houston life. The hum of conversations mingles with the aroma of spices and freshly grilled meats, crafting an atmosphere that’s relaxed yet alive, the kind of spot where you might linger just a little longer than planned.
Moussa’s unique dual identity as both a Lebanese restaurant and a butcher shop brings an earthy, honest connection to the food here—the kind you feel in the first bite of their shawarma or the fresh hand-cut skewers sizzling over the grill. The menu feels like a heartfelt invitation to share in dishes that are thoughtfully prepared with ingredients you can trust. Whether savoring a meticulously spiced kibbeh niyeh, enjoying the freshness of a tabbouleh salad, or discovering the deep, satisfying flavors of their special meat and chicken plates, there’s a honesty and care embedded in every serving.
The pace at Moussa is unhurried and welcoming. It’s a place where locals might stop by for a quick, satisfying sandwich or stay for a longer meal that feels like celebrating a connection to a rich culinary heritage. The helpfulness found at the butcher counter spills over into the dining experience, with staff ready to guide you thoughtfully, making you feel like part of a community rather than just a customer.
This spot carries a sense of discovery—not only in the food but in the atmosphere, where the subtle blend of traditional and contemporary Lebanese flavors is matched by the genuine hospitality that greets you at the door. Moussa doesn’t rush; it invites you to slow down, savor, and enjoy a moment of real human connection over shared plates.

Bazaria - The Modern Dessert Bazaar 30 Nov 2025
The ABSOLUTE BEST place for kebab, hummus, sandwiches and kibbe niyeh. The quality of the meat is superb and can’t be beat. The cleanliness, customer service and taste are beyond any Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve had in the US. As soon as I took the first bite it’s as is if I was visiting Lebanon and eating in one of the restaurants there. You will not be disappointed when you come here. Definitely worth a day trip from Dallas just to eat and drive back.

I love the mixed grill. All of their food is good and the menu offers a variety of entrees to choose from. Hot fresh and delicious.

Awesome restaurant in the heart of Houston. Even met the owner himself as he was working the butcher shop. The kibbeh neyah was a real special treat too. So glad I found this place. The kebab platter was a real treat. I also loved the humus and tabbouleh. I will definitely come back.

We had the shawarma, Lebanese burger ???????? and platter at Moussa, and everything was amazing — but the salads were out of this world! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Great food, generous portions, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to.

I can’t review the restaurant as I did not eat there, but I will be back to try it as it smelled delicious. I instead got some cuts from the butcher. The guy in the front (can’t recall his name) was super helpful and informative. I can’t wait to go back and try some of his suggestions.

The best Lebanese restaurant in Houston! Family-owned, super clean, and the food is delicious. From the Lebanese salads to the grilled meats, everything is excellent. A must-try!
